Education & Teaching

My approach to teaching voice is deeply individualized and dependent on each student's interests and needs; I strive to help my students become holistic musicians, open to all the music has to offer and prepared to handle whatever challenges they may face. I have many years experience teaching, from the classroom to the private studio, in both individual and group settings. During my own schooling, I served in several educational positions, including teaching assistantships, tutoring, and private teaching. Between my graduate and doctoral studies, I spent two years teaching at several local music programs in Nashua, NH, including the Nashua Community Music School and North Main Music, while also maintaining a small private studio.

I currently serve on the music faculty at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN, where I teaches private voice lessons to both the general student population and applied music students. MUSC 1100 - Beginning Music Lessons can additionally be audited by community members, with special tuition rates for MN residents aged 62 and older. I additionally maintain a small private voice studio and am available for acting coachings.
