A bold reimagining of Bizet's Carmen that blends opera, classic rock covers, flamenco, and procedural crime drama. In the aftermath of Carmen's murder, Inspector Micaëla grapples with conflicting eye-witness accounts and uncertain truths as she retraces the femme fatale's fateful path toward death.
The Carmen Files is a unique music theatrical project in ongoing development in partnership with Mixed Precipitation. The show underwent its first round of development and workshopping early in 2026, with a weekend of public performances as part of the Park Square Theater LAB Series, March 27-29, 2026.
